Abvida SR 100 mg Tablet 15s are part of a group of anti-diabetic medications known as "dipeptidyl peptidase 4 (DPP-4) inhibitors" that are used to treat type 2 diabetes, particularly in people whose blood sugar levels are not under control with diet and exercise alone. The Abvida SR 100 Tablet 15 may be taken either on its own or in conjunction with other medications. The way our bodies metabolise glucose is impacted by type 2 diabetes, a chronic (long-lasting) disorder. People with type 2 diabetes either create insufficient amounts of insulin or are unable to use it as it should in the body (insulin resistance).
