Rifakem-200 mg Tablet 10 is a member of the class of drugs known as "antibiotics" or "antibacterials," which are used to treat infectious traveler's diarrhoea caused by the E. coli bacteria in adults and children over the age of 12, hepatic encephalopathy (a condition where the liver disease impairs brain function), and irritable bowel syndrome with diarrhoea (IBS-D). Traveler's diarrhoea is an infection in which unformed stools move through the body. When a diseased liver is unable to eliminate poisons from the blood, hepatic encephalopathy results in loss of brain function. The large intestine is impacted by irritable bowel syndrome. The active ingredient in Rifakem-200 Tablet 10's is "Rifaximin," which acts on the colon to stop the spread of illnesses brought on by the loss of healthy gut flora.Disclaimer:For more information contact your physician.
