Reclide-XR 60 Tablet 15's is a member of the "oral hypoglycemic" medication class used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus when diet and exercise are insufficient to manage blood sugar levels. A chronic or permanent condition called type 2 diabetes changes how our bodies use glucose. Type 2 diabetics either do not create enough insulin or the insulin they do make does not act properly in the body (insulin resistance).
